We recently stayed at The White Horse Inn for a friends surprise Birthday , and it was fantastic a real hidden gem! The rooms were spotless, beautifully decorated, and uber clean, with all the modern comforts you could want, food was delicious, but the best part? The staff. They were incredibly friendly and always ready to help with a smile, nothing was too much for them. If you’re looking for a place with great quality and warm, helpful service, I highly recommend The White Horse Inn.

Bedroom and bathroom fitted out to high standards. Bed very comfortable.The food in the restaurant was excellent, varied menu, staff were excellent, very attentive and friendly.The only negative was the heat in the bedroom, very warm all night, only one window fitted with restrictor would benefit from air conditioning.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the White Horse Inn. The room was very stylish and well appointed with ironing board and iron, large TV and branded toiletries in the bathroom.Breakfast was very good with lots of choice and served in the main restaurant.The staff are very well trained and welcoming.I was very impressed

Staff are excellent, friendly and helpful.The rooms have been looked after since their refurbishment and are still great. Thanks to Debbie and Sam at breakfast. Also Maddie, Anna, Sophie, Libby, Diane, Vicki and Dan for being brilliant in the Restaurant and Bar. Apologies to staff I have omitted but you were all amazing.Final thanks to Jane and Mark who run such a wonderful place to stay.Staying in hotels for 180 nights a year means that you appreciate the best ones.

I stayed at the White Horse Inn with a friend. We really enjoyed our stay -there was nothing we did not like. The rooms were beautifully furnished, the restaurant served very good food and fantastic breakfast selection and the staff were friendly and helpful.Very good value for money.

All the staff at The White Horse are friendly and efficient. It is always a pleasure to stay here. The food is excellent and the breakfast cooked to order by Sam or Ali are a great start to the day.The locals are also friendly and ready to chat with new people.Mark and Jane have a wonderful establishment. Just hoping not too many more people get to know or I might not be able to get a room!

Excellent little Inn with 6 nice rooms that are located in a detached single storey building adjacent to car park.Very friendly staff, lovely food and a decent pint of Guinness.Very disability friendly as everything pretty much on a level.

Where to start. It's a hidden jewel and an establishment that others should work to emulate.We stayed after doing the Land Rover Experience day. All 3 of us have travelled considerably in our time, and we all agreed The White Horse was absolutely faultless. Immaculate bar / restaurant / rooms. Friendly staff. Great food. I only wish it was nearer to me, but would definitely return if up this way again. 10/10

Lovely clean room and comfortable bed.Food in the evening and at breakfast was first class.Most of the staff were friendly and gave great service.Quiet location except for other guests.Would definitely stay again.Thank You.

Great team of people who make this a very enjoyable place to stay. The food and ale is superb. The accommodation is very clean and super comfortable, and well worth a stay. The breakfast in the morning 'full' English is wonderful!

What an absolutely fantastic pub with good beer and wonderful food. Up to date modern clean rooms, fantastic pub and quality food, all the staff are great. It's next to impossible to pick a fault. Always my go to hotel if I'm in the area.

I stayed in The White Horse Inn for 3 nights between Xmas and New Years Eve. It is the first time that I have stayed there and would certainly use it again whilst visiting relations in the Corby area. Breakfasts were very good and also the bar meals, the staff were very friendly.

Such a wonderful stay. We had a lovely stay at the White Horse Inn. Their separate accommodation annex was brilliant, clean and tastefully decorated with your own front door. Delicious breakfast in the dining room the next day and such a lovely and friendly team. I would really recommend staying here if you are in the area.

We just had an amazing stay, the accommodation was very modern and beautifully clean with a lovely bathroom which had all the amenities you need.We had dinner in the restaurant which was delicious in a lovely environment, the cooked breakfast was delicious too.We met the owners Jane and Mark, who were lovely people who were very proud of their beautiful business.All the staff were lovely people who were dedicated to giving their hosts the best experience possible.Thank you for an amazing stay we will definitely be back.

We used the White Horse as a mid point to meet relatives before Christmas. The rooms were immaculate with a fabulous walk in shower and everything you would need. Also lovely and warm on the coldest of weekends. We had drinks in the bar by the log burner and festive menu in the restaurant. Food very good and service friendly and efficient. Excellent value for money and would recommend.

What a superb Inn, the hospitality of the staff was great and we were made to feel very welcome. The accommodation had everything needed for a comfortable night, the room was very clean and well designed with a lovely on-suite bathroom. The food served was again great, had a good selection on the menu for lunch, dinner and breakfast. we all said we cant fault this place at all.

Travelled with my husband to meet up with his mum as is equidistant for us in on an otherwise very long journey.The room was very comfortable, the bathroom was fab, with lovely toiletries and plenty of fluffy towels. All was warm and cozy.We had drinks in the bar and then dinner in the restaurant. Everyone was so warm and welcoming and the food and drinks were delicious.Breakfast the next morning was again delicious - and again we were greeted warmly and looked after really well.We loved this place and are so happy to have found it, as not only does work perfectly for us location wise, we would be very happy to return anyway.I left my perfume in the bathroom and this was posted on to me the very next day, so even that was made easy for me!We will definitely be back.

We came from norfolk to do a landrover experience so I searched around for a nice place to stay. Reviews are important to me. The white horse had great reviews so we booked a night. The pub building is lovely and well kept, situated in a lovely rural location. Good selection of drinks in the bar. Great menu choice. We had squid rings and garlic bread for starters portion of squid rings huge so much so I was full before my main. Steak cooked perfectly and my husband said his burger was delicious too. Again great portions. So much so I couldn’t squeeze I’m a dessert even tho I so wanted too. Lovely polite service, room comfortable with everything you need with a good shower and breakfast was absolutely delicious too. Highly recommend! Book you won’t be disappointed 🥰

The team at TWH are a credit to the management. Very friendly, efficient and helpful. The rooms are clean, roomy and well stocked. The food and drink are very good. Can highly recommend. Thinking of a return trip next year.

All the staff, without exception were very welcoming and gave excellent service.The room facilities, recently refurbished, offered everything needed and were very comfortable. Excellent shower with instant warm water.We had planned to only eat in the restaurant on one of our nights (2 night stay) but ate there both nights. Very good choice and very well presented, tasty food.Breakfast menu, irresistible. Have since been online to order Stornaway Black Pudding!

Lovely overnight stay at The White Horse Inn. The room was spotlessly clean and well equipped. Somebody has really thought about the layout, decor, fixtures and fittings and it shows! Evening meal and breakfast were excellent and service first class. Without fail all of the team were really friendly, welcoming and very helpful. Have stayed here twice now and both times superb - no hesitation in recommending both the accommodation and the food.

We may live 100 miles away, but this was our third visit this year and it didn't disappoint. Excellent food and accommodation, lovely staff and a thoroughly relaxing break. Looking forward to our next visit!

Stayed at the White Horse for one night. Room (number 3) was perfect. A lot of thought and attention has gone into the bedrooms. Comfortable, well furnished ( the shower was great) and a big “well done” to the cleaners. The room was spotless. We eat dinner in the bar area and breakfast in the restaurant. Both dinner and breakfast were really good. The bar was comfortable and the restaurant stylish. What made our stay 5* plus was the staff. From checking in to checking out we came across friendly, smiling, informative and professional people working at the White Horse. Everyone seemed 110% invested in making customers feel welcomed and valued.

This was an overnight stay on our way back from Yorkshire before we went home. Very nice comfortable room and the breakfast was perfect. We weren’t intending to have an evening meal here as we were going to pop into Market Harborough for a look round but after our drive did decide to book a table in the end, and we were glad we did, had an excellent meal. Would definitely stop here again if passing through this way, attention to detail was second to none, food and accommodation was perfect and we left the following morning feeling refreshed for our drive home. Though the property is relatively small it has all the necessary amenities. The room was well proportioned with a large bathroom and a very comfortable large bed. The little courtyard next to our room was very convenient for our last evening drink in the final bit of summer 2023 👍

We were returning home from holiday in Suffolk and had decided it would be good to break the journey. Everything from booking to the greeting on arrival, the room, the food, and above all else the service was excellent. I would highly recommend that you stay here. Only downside was a little road noise.

The White Horse Inn was recommended by friends on their wedding invitation at Hothorpe Hall in August 2023 as overnight post wedding accommodation.However, the accommodation wasn't needed as we decided to drive.When I rang to explain, it was suggested that we could move the reservation to a later date at no additional cost.So that's what we did.On arrival we were shown to our self contained fabulous room.There are a row of 5 of theseat the rear of 'Inn'.Next to the row of rooms, there was a lovely little courtyard area with parasols, tables and chairs, a water feature and fairy lights, ideal to enjoy a quiet pre dinner drink.As for the room, we were most impressed by the tasteful interior decor.Top quality in every respect and the ensuite bathroom was amazing including complimentary normal size toiletries.We reserved a table for dinner that evening on the advice of the waitress who said the restaurant was fully booked and in the bar there was only one table for two left!There was a warm, homely and most welcoming feel to the entire 'Inn' and it was so lovely to see locals using it as their 'local' to drink and/or enjoy a meal as well as staying guests like us.The menu was extensive - my husband chose the Pork Belly and I chose the Chicken wrapped in Parma Ham - Wow!! I have to say the meal simply delicious.Darren was working behind the bar - he was a great personality and made us feel so welcome and spent time after we had eaten just chatting as did Bronte.In chatting it became so clear that the staff were more than just staff, but they were part of the 'White Horse Inn family' - figuratively speaking.Long serving and loving what they do.Oh! and I mustn't forget to mention the yummy 'Full English Breakfast' served in the restaurant the following morningThank you all for making our stay, be it only for one night, but it made an impression and we cannot recommend The White Horse Inn' enough and we will be back for your Sunday lunch as Darren said "It's a must"

Friendly welcome, comfortable, clean room with all you need, delicious food in relaxing surroundings. Our helpful host gave us each a generous packed lunch as we had to leave before breakfast on our final night.

A character pub that is popular with local residents but still has a welcoming feel. Great food and comfortable modern rooms to stay

Room beautifullydone, with many touches you might expect in a bigger establishment - a huge pleasure to find a full size bath sheet as well as smaller towels.Very pleasant staff.Just one micro niggle - position of loo roll doesn't work for ladies!

I stayed at the White Horse almost two years ago withfive golfing friends, we were all impressed them with the warmth andprofessionalism of the staff and the quality of the food. My second visit to the White Horsewas even better than my first. Same warmth and professionalism of the staff but an even better experience! The food has gone to another levellevel it was a gastronomic delight to dine at the White Horse. Plus the rooms have all been refurbished to such a high standard. Our stay was a pure delight thank you to everyone at the White Horse for making our stay a truly wonderful experience.

This was our second stay at The White Horse Inn - the first being a couple of years ago. The refurbished rooms are just wonderful - bright, clean, modern and comfortable. Loved the walk in shower! We chose a full English for breakfast, as we did the last time we stayed - it wasn’t was absolutely delicious. All the staff are friendly and helpful. We’ll be back again next time we’re staying in the area.

Stayed for 1 night but would love to stay longer. Food was delicious, staff were polite and friendly, room was super (clean, comfortable wnd with everything, and more, that we needed). We give our highest recommendation.

Simple rooms, clean quiet and fresh. Great food including breakfast and helpful friendly staff.

Bedroom and bathroom look new. Amazingly comfy bed. Great shower. We had lunch at the pub which was of a high standard. Breakfast in the morning was great too, very good quality bacon and sausages. No problem parking. Every member of staff we met were friendly and helpful. Only downside, no view from the bedroom but we were ok with that.

Had an excellent short break in a charming pub.The room was very comfortable with all the facilities and needs that could be wanted and very well serviced each day. The food, both the two dinners I had together with the breakfasts were beautifully cooked, the so called light breakfast was in fact very substantial and set one up for the day, while all the staff were both very efficient and pleasant; it was great to see staff who obviously enjoy their job and get on well with each other.To sum up, a delightful country pub which can be highly recommended.

The setting is perfect, a quiet, village, traditional inn.The separate block of rooms have recently been refurbished and are to an excellent standard of fittings and decor, very comfortable.Food is excellent with a varied menu and very good selection of vegan options.Staff are wonderfully friendly and helpful.Excellent value for money. Cannot rate this highly enough.

We were only here for an overnight while visiting family in the village but would gladly have stayed for longer. Lovely room in a row of outbuildings behind the pub with lots of luxury extras including bottled water, quality toiletries, shaving and toothcare packages. Very friendly staff so check in and out easy. Didn't have dinner because eating with our family but atmosphere and aromas were very tempting when we went through and breakfast choice and quality was excellent.

We recently stayed at the White Horse Inn to celebrate my husband’s 60th birthday. I came across this place quite by chance whilst looking for somewhere between us in the South, and our friends in the North. It did not disappoint. We booked for 2 nights taking all 5 guest rooms. The rooms have all been renovated to a very high standard and were very comfortable. Breakfast was perfect, as was dinner both evenings. We took taxis to Foxton Locks and hired a day boat on the canal. (Lizi’s taxis and Foxton Boat hire both served us well!).I would highly recommend a stay at the White Horse Inn, a fabulous place to stay and eat!

An overnight stay before a Land Rover driving experience at Rockingham. Lovely double room next to the pub with some luxury touches. Super comfortable bed! The pub was popular on a Thursday evening and we were very well looked after in the dining room by friendly staff. Breakfast the next morning was a treat too! Many thanks - we’d come again!

Once again my stay at The White Horse was all I expected. The staff are all attentive, friendly and smiling. My wife & I wanted somewhere to spend our latest anniversaryand we could not have made a better choice.Our room(2) was spotlessly clean a nd very modern without being impersonal, the king size bed was very comfortable, the water piping hot, the towels nice and fluffy-what more could we ask for!?The evening meal was beautifully cooked and presented and really ago value. We selected The White Horse Inn as the finale of our road trip to the south of France. The accommodation, food, service and ambiance of the inn was a pleasant surprise. We come here once or twice every year - and travel a few hundred miles to do so. The reason is that it has the best food, the most up-to-date and tastefully decorated rooms and - perhaps most importantly of all - the most genuinely caring group of staff you could wish to meet. If you haven't tried it yet, what are you waiting for...?

Lovely room clean and warm.Food was amazing.Only disappointment was a continuous noise during thenight, which disturbed our sleep.

Lovely rooms with thoughtful extras . Great food staff and service . An excellent pub all round . Would like to have seen warm white / yellow led bulbs in the room ( or at least the bedside table lights ) and in the dining room as the lighting is very harsh ( like a dentist / hospital ) and it doesn’t create a relaxing / cosy feel .

Arrived for an overnight stay as we were attending a significant birthday party at the neighbouring village hall.Greeted by name, and shown to our room, a well appointed and extremely comfortable ensuite room, and briefed on practical details, TV, thermostat, breakfast times etc. On mentioning that we were not dining but attending an event, unprompted we were offered a lift from one of the staff to the venue.If we had properly read the comprehensive information folder we would have found the details we asked for in the bar some time later. On having a pre event drink we enquired about taxi services (for the return trip) we were again offered a lift and indeed a pick up should we so desire.We took up th eoffer of the lift to the venue, and had a great evening, returning before closing we were welcomed back and were chided for not calling for a pickup (the walk back of just over half a mile was just enough to clear the head) a night cap was taken, and we retired to bed.After a most comfortable night's sleep the bathroom facilities were put to good use, copious hot water, a shower with a great flowrate, towels of high quality and once cleansed and dressed off to breakfast.An excellent breakfast, high quality ingredients and freshly cooked and again great service.Our only regret, not dining, a regret that a return visit sometime soon will put right.Overall, a pub/restaurant with a most welcoming ambience, friendly and attentive staff, and exceptional quality throughout. On top of which the Real Ales were excellent and to be recommended.

From our arrival to departure our experience was amazing and we received 5* attention at all times.The staff are so helpful and greeted us with smiles.Our stay was to celebrate my wife's birthday on NYE and this really was a perfect location. We stayed overnight on our way up and back to Bolton.The accommodation was in a small but adequate room next to the pub. It was beautifully furnished with an excellent walk in shower.The restaurant which was only a very short walk away was also very inviting and both evening meals and breakfasts were extremely good. It was encouraging that both menus were ofrestaurant standard and not basis pub food. We will book again when travelling north next time

The staff at The White Horse are very efficient and friendly. The staff all smile so you know the owners are doing something right. Then yo go in to the room and the quality of the refurbishment that has been carried out is of the highest quality. The housekeepers keep the rooms in a meticulous order. It is refreshing to find a standard that is so high.The chef's in the kitchen provide food that is excellent and the waiting staff are smiling, helpful and friendly.It is the hotel that I always stay at when I am in the area. Having found it by accident from just visiting the pub for a drink, I have never been disappointed with my stays at The White Horse.

Review left on Trip Advisor:My husband and I joined my parents for a night while they were on a return visit. Our room had been prepared for us early despite having been occupied the previous night, as we were due to arrive well before check-in time! The room itself was beautifully decorated, well-equipped and spotless and I really liked the bathroom products!! After exploring a nearby village we returned to sit by the fire and sample a selection of local Gins! Dinner was delicious and as a Vegetarian/Pescatarian I did not have any trouble finding something to eat - my vegetarian sweet chilli ‘chicken’ and crispy kale starter was stunning! Breakfast the next morning was, according to my husband, one of the best he’s had in a long time and I can’t disagree! As for the staff - Vicky and everyone else who looked after us - just the nicest people you could meet! Nothing was too much trouble and they were constantly checking in with us to make sure we were ok! If I sound like I’m gushing all I can say is good! Places like this deserve gushing reviews - go and prepare to be thrilled!!

This was indeed one of the best places we have ever stayed at. We arrived and were met by the bar manwho greeted us with a smile, and showed us to our room. The room which had been recently refurbished, was absolutely gorgeous. Lovely comfortablebed with fabulous decor and a fantastic shower.We had booked a table for dinner and, once again, the food did not disappoint and neither did the service. The waitress was charming, and gave me good advice on choosing the sea bass which was gorgeous. The star of the menu was the quince and apple pudding. The suet pastry was so light and the calvados custard - I wanted a whole bowl of it. Absolutely gorgeous!Breakfast the following morning was equally lovely: freshly cooked and served with a smile! All the staff without exception were friendly and provided great service. I was in the area on business but this hotel made us both feel we had had a mini break. Cannot recommend this hotel more. It is a little gem!

We don't like leaving reviews, so we only do it when there is something good or something bad to say, and this is a good review.First impressions were a little deflating, from the image on the booking website we were expecting a large country hotel, and our first thoughts were 'it's a pub'. Don't let that put you off, this is a hidden gem.The restaurant is a delight, and the accommodation is in a separate block, almost like a motel, but the finish is far superior, and the parking was literally outside the door. The accommodation is virtually new, and everything is pristine and scrupulously clean. The shower on its own is worth the stay, and we didn't hear any noise at all from the pub area.The staff were unfailingly friendly, courteous and helpful, and I got the impression that they were all invested in the business, not just working there, it really does make a difference. The restaurant is superb, the meals are very well presented, and the food itself is excellent, I can't remember the last time we had a full three course meal in a restaurant, but we did on Saturday because the experience was so good. One suggestion, not criticism, perhaps the vegetarian offer could be expanded, my wife may have struggled a little on a longer stay. The only downside, and the reason this isn't a 5 star review, is breakfast on Sunday was a slight disappointment. There was nothing wrong with it, it just wasn't as good as on Saturday, and we waited a long time to be served, even though people who came in after us were served before us and had almost finished before we received ours. Bear in mind, it was the day the clocks went back, and I asked for a variation in the full English breakfast, but only to leave items out rather than waste them.All in all it was an excellent stay, and I would recommend staying here.

This was our fourth visit in just over a year; the first to visit my brother in Hallaton, the second to attend his funeral, and the third to collect some of his things. As before the accommodation, dinners and breakfasts were excellent, but this time we were disappointed to have single beds rather a double; I believe you still have a double bedded room or rooms, we would require this next time

We stayed in the newly refurbished room two, which was a delight. It had a great large TV and comfy bed and there were lots of lovely touches showing a lot of thought has gone into the redecoration. The tiled bathroom had a really good walk in shower and plenty of room to put toiletries. The food in the restaurant was good, especially the steak, and the breakfast was the best we’ve had in a long time. The eggs Benedict was particularly good and the staff were very professional and friendly. We especially enjoyed our chat with Liz.

We have just spent the weekend at the white horse for a surprise birthday party for my wife.From the moment we arrived to the time we left the staff were superb, very friendly and Profesional in everything they did. This was my third visit to the White Horse and once again it was excellent. The rooms are now even better than before and had everything I needed. Both the evening meal and breakfast were good and the staff really friendly.

My sister and I celebrated our birthday at the White Horse Inn. We had an amazing weekend, the twin room was lovely, recently refurbished to an exceptional standard. We stayed for one night and enjoyed walking around the Stoke Albany area before returning to the White Horse for our evening meal. The newly redecorated rooms are very well finished, although the excellent shower could do with a grab rail in order to prevent slips. Recommended.

My husband and I recently stayed at the White Horse for three nights. We had an incredible experience. The rooms are modern, clean and equipped with everything you need. The food was amazing! Although the room was small it had been done to a high standard and both it and the bathroom worked very well and there was everything you needed.Lovely helpful staff.The restaurant food both for breakfast and dinner was excellent.However the downside was the bed and pillows which were all very hard( good beds can be done..think Hypnos at Premier Inns!)We enjoyed our stay but are unikely to return due to the bed.

Just stayed overnight this time, but it’s not the first time we’ve stayed at the White Horse and hopefully it won’t be the last. Fantastic homely atmosphere.We had our evening meal as well as breakfast there and both were served with smiles and delicious. Excellent establishment!! I was recommended to come and I was not dissapointed. The interior bears no resemblace to the outside.The bar areas are very large and full of character, the restuarant is also very large with plenty of room between tables. The food was plentiful, plenty of choice, excellently cooked, excellent staff. Cleanliness was A1 both in the bar, restaurant and the loos. The accommodationI could not fault. We had such a lovely weekend staying at the White Horse last weekend. Our evening meal on Saturday night was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic too! We really enjoyed our two night stay. The room was well appointed and comfortable and the food and service was excellent. We would definitely stay there again.

Everyone from the Management throughout the team made me feel welcome.I On booking I explained I was on a writing sabbatical,and enquired as to a table in a room I could use. Five of us adults have just stayed and enjoyed an overnight. Rooms are spotless and modern. Food and drinks excellent and staff service terrific. We couldn't have asked for any more. So welcoming and well worth a visit.

One of the best I've stayed in, reasonably priced too. I arrived late and would've missed the restaurant so called ahead and had my dinner waiting for me when I arrived, got a drink and sat next to the burner. I have stayed at The White Horse several times over the years. The room was clean, tidy and comfortable. The bathroom was well stocked with quality products , and towelling. Excellent service was provided by Daniel and Vicki in the bar and restaurant. There was a very good variety of meals on the menu. The ingredients were very good quality and cooked to perfection. There was a slight issue with water pressure to the shower in the bathroom, which was being addressed. I shall certainly be returning to the White Horse and heartily recommend to all.

We enjoyed our overnight stay. Room was comfortable and pleasant. We booked the restaurant for 7.30pm. It was very busy and after 50 minutes waiting for our starter we asked the manager to check on it. He did and we got it within minutes. He did give us both a drink on the house. We waited again for our main. It came out at 8.50. Unfortunately we had gone past eating then and left most of it. We felt we were in the way as the staff were moving all the tables round us ready for breakfast.Breakfast in the morning was really nice and the lady who served us was lovely. A lovely place but a bit to long to wait for our evening meal.

The White Horse is a beautiful pub/hotel. All of our rooms were superb, the setting idyllic. The best breakfasts ever! And the dinners we had during our two night stay would have made top London restaurants envious. But above all the staff were the best, friendly, professional and couldn’t do enough for us. Very respectful staff and helpful. They made our stay great and enjoying from making the booking to checking in and checking out. Nice lovely food and from my experience we received a five star treatment.

My bedroom was well-designed and equipped as well as quiet, clean and comfortable. The restaurant menu was imaginative, breakfast cooked-to-order (my eggs benedict were great!). Most importantly, the staff know they are in the hospitality business - and it shows.

Nay stayed one night as a stop over when hiking the Jurassic Way but couldn’t really fault it overall.The staff were welcoming and friendly, the room was a good size, clean and comfortable.The bed a little soft for our liking but that’s personal preference.The shower on the other hand was way to low at its highest setting, set in the middle of the bath at 5ft 4 it was even too low for me.The food however made up for this small quibble- it was outstanding both evening meal and breakfast.Restaurant was beautifully decorated too. The food was so good we booked to come back for a meal as this isn’t that far from where we live.We’ve eaten at a number of Michelin star restaurants and the food here is as good if not better.

We stayed here with our grown up children and we all had a super time. The bedrooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and the meal was delicious. It was so lovely to be able to have dinner outside in the stylish courtyard.All of the staff were super too.

We found ourselves in Northamptonshire and needed a bed for the night. We had more than a comfy bed. We had a genuinely warm welcome from happy and helpful staff and delicious food. Go on spoil yourselves.

I took my wife there for her birthday and booked a room for the night. The evening meal was lovely and the breakfast was one of the best I have had. The black pudding is to die for. All the staff are friendly and efficient. Our room was compact but spotless and had everything we needed. The bathroom is lovely with a good selection of toiletries. Really impressed with the staff, location, layout, friendliness. Dinner was fantastic (best fish and chips i've had in a long time). Breakfast was good but a bit odd to have new potatoes on an english breakfast and egg was a bit overdone. That is nit picking though as the stay was otherwise perfect !

Lovely pub with a very good restaurant and outdoor seating areas. Our room was simple but well equipped, decorated and furnished. The staff were all very helpful. My only criticism would be that the shower itself and thetiling in the cubicle needs modernising/improving.

What a lovely experience we had at this chocolate box pub. Great rooms and outstanding food. We had such an amazing evening meal we couldn’t manage the full English breakfast in the morning. However the homemade granola was great.

Staff generally friendly. few niggles - no obvious welcome point/reception, probably made worse due to COVID restrictions in main bar area. paperwork not ready on arrival. Needed to fill in paperwork which was a duplicate of what we had to fill in on-line for booking.Com when booking the room. heated towel rail in bathroom was on permanently making it very warm. We had a fabulous two night stay. We had lovely food, fresh cooked breakfast and superb dinner. Great drinks choices, the lovely Vicki made us Blood Mary’s in the morning. The bed was super comfy. The highlight though was the fantastic people, all the staff and especially Dan and Vicki and the friendly locals. The surrounding area and countryside is great too.

Very short but lovely one night mid journey stay. Very nice friendly hosts. Good atmosphere with good quality pub food, tasty and reasonably priced.. Nice cosy bedrooms but bathroom would benefit from a fixed shower head as the good pressure of water can cause the head to detach and spray everywhere. Great beautifully cooked breakfast.

I have stayed at The White Horse Inn a number of times this year as I often work nearby. Always a pleasant stay with comfortable rooms, good food and attentive staff. I would highly recommend The White Horse Inn if you are ever in the area!

The booking process was easy. The staff were very helpful. The room itself was spotless, very comfortable and small details had been remembered- such as shaving kit for men, lap cushion/stand for use of laptop/iPad. Breakfast freshly cooked and tasty. Only slight problem that the duvet, which was excellent - was just a bit warm for summer use. Perhaps separate summer and winter duvets would be a good idea.

I could not fault anything during my stay. The room was cosy and the bed was very comfy. Everything that I needed had been thought of; from the paraben free toiletries, down to the home made biscuits on the tea tray. The food was also excellent, both my evening meal and breakfast were delicious and value for money. I would highly recommend the White Horse Inn.

I regularly stay here as the rooms are really comfortable and well equipped. Really good menu and the food is lovely. Staff are all friendly and welcoming which is really nice when I’m travelling as a single female. I always like to return somewhere where I feel safe and welcomed which you get at the white lion.

Lovely people, nice food. Room really comfortable & some nice extra touches however we stayed in room 1 &the shower was unusable & the towel rail woke us up at 6am with a loud knocking noice for a good half hour & there was no way of turning it off.! We did relay this to the breakfast staff.

I have undertaken an assignment in Corby. I was luck to find a place to rest at the end of the day for 12 weeks. The White Horse Inn is the ideal place to rest eat drink and sleep. Good Ale, nice food ample breakfast all in pleasant setting.

Arrived on Sunday afternoon, stayed overnight prior to attending the Land Rover East of England off road centre the next day. Land Rover had recommended you in the first instance. Received a friendly welcome and shown immediately to room, which was very clean and tidy. Enjoyed a fabulous Sunday lunch, the topside of beef was excellent. Great cooked breakfast the next morning which set us up for our days off roading. Service and friendliness excellent. Well done to all.

Clean quiet room with everything possiblyneeded provided. Excellent breakfast & helpful staff. Exactly what we required. Ate our evening meal at their other pub/restaurant 3 miles/10 minutes away which was a very pleasant experience including their coffee & cakes cafe. Still glad we chose The White Horse for our accommodation but combining the two proved ideal.

As always the service that I had was excellent, your staff go out their way to make sure that I have everything that I require for my stay. The only little problem I did have was that it was a very deep bath and being that little bit older I did have difficulty stepping in and out.

As guests at a wedding at the Neville Arms in Medborn we were unable to book accommodation there but were recommended the White Horse as an alternative.What a great place to stay.Comfortable bedroom with well stocked hospitality tray and a good sized bathroom full of lovely toiletries.Great food in the pub and very friendly and helpful staff.Would definitely stay here again

My stay was a pleasurable experience. The staff were first class and served with a smile and couldn't be better. The accommodation as again first class neat clean and fresh. what I thought was a nice touch they had a tooth brush and paste set. Well done. We received a very warm welcome and were checked in within minutes.The staff were very friendly and efficient.The ensuite accommodation was clean, comfortable and modern with some nice personal touches.The food was excellent, well presented with a great variety to choose from both the breakfast and dinner menus.All dietry requests were catered for.Ample car parking to the rear of the premises.An ideal location to visit or to use as a base for travelling around.Would definitely recommend the White Horse Inn to others.Looking forward to a return visit in the near future.

Accommodation and breakfasts superb,Unfortunately diningexperience not quite so good,Waitress excellent although appeared to have little help.Food very mixed.a friend with us both a friend with us found the meat in the beef pie very salty,the presentation of his wife's gammon very messy with chips which looked very unappetising and were very soft.The following evening the chips served with fish were much the same,soggy ,soft and the random way they were cut looked messy.A complaint was made on both nights but not until a third request as to the chef's comments did we receive any comeback-- afire glass of wine.This was refused as it was a reason from the chef or senior member of staff that was required not a free glass of wine.We were aware that there was a senior member of staff in the kitchen on Wednesday evening so would have appreciateda word from them.This however would not stop us from recommending the White Horse but hesitate to recommend dining there.Some of the meals contained very many and different flavours so felt that if the simple meals could not be done well would not be inclined to try them,such a shame.

First let me say that we enjoyed our stay. Staff were really lovely and couldn't be more helpful. Food was really good far better than we could have expected we were really impressed. Dinner the night before was excellent.Breakfast a very good choice also and good produce well cooked. Our room although it was a little bigger than we expected from booking info we felt was a little dated.there far too much brown wood giving it a dark appearance and makes it look a bit old fashioned...room is beautifully clean spotless. It just has an air of old fashioned and the bathroomquite big but the floor covering reminded me of a hospital floor. It looked cold and again a bit old fashioned. Waterfall shower heads not my choice but the shower is too small to accommodate one so if you don't want to wash your hair unfortunately you have no choice and the power is not great. Overhead light on mirror did not work and neither did the switch for shavers do couldn't recharge toothbrush.... hairdryer overheats and cuts off. I would stay with you again because of staff and food...just a little disappointed in room style but as I said spotless.eill give four stars for the rest

I made just a one night stay here but was very impressed by the service and quality.In particular I was delayed en route and finished up arriving very late but Justine sorted this all out for me, room was very good and the quality of the breakfast wasexcellent

Amazing sums it up in one word....for arrival and the welcoming and friendly smiles of the staff...the room quaint and filled will amenities that smelt wonderful and wonderful selection of Tea's/Coffee's and Hot Chocolate and to top it off home made cookies from the chef (My other half ate them all before I could try one).We dinned at the Inn for dinner and I could have licked my plate, the Butter Garlic Chicken to die for!!!!!! Once again service was great and friendly.We had breakfast in the morning and you would have assumed you were at a 5 star resort the way it was laid out and presented. Partner had full English (I didn't even get to see his plate full as he had tucked in before it had hit the table.I had the salmon and scrambled eggs done just the way I like it.A variety of cereals and fresh fruits and juices on offer as well.We will certainly return.

A group were meeting fairly near the White Horse the following day - we two men stayed in double rooms. The rooms are comfortable and pleasant. Dinner was good and so was breakfast. A group of us returned for lunch the following day. Good service from pleasantstaff. I would be happy to stay there again.

I was was shooting nearby next morning and decided that I and the friend driving me would stay at the White Horse - I booked2 rooms. The compact en-suite rooms were very good and comfortable. Dinner and breakfast was excellent. Good value for money. It turned out that the guns and friends also lunched here next day, which was also first class. I highly recommend the White Horse.

A hidden gem. All the staff were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. We had an evening meal which was lovely and the breakfast was delicious. The room was very clean with a fantastic attention to detail, down to the home made biscuits. The owner Mark gave us a lift back into Market Harborough in the morning as we couldn't get a taxi, he was very lovely about it and a perfect gentleman. Walking up and stepping outside and seeing the view was magical. We highly recommend.

This was my 2nd visit. The room was spotless and credit must be given to the thoughtful decor and finishing touches eg toiletries, hospitality tray. We found it hard to find the White Horse Inn. When we arrived staff polite .We went to our accommodation a sewing needle and two screws on floor as we went in. Room was comfy and a lovely tea tray.Breakfast was nice and hot.

Had a two night stay here and ate in the restaurant both nights, the first night with friends joining us. Lovely selection of items on the menu, catering for carnivores, pescatarians and vegetarians alike (not sure about vegans), with items clearly marked for those avoiding gluten, etc. Food was excellent and the staff very helpful and friendly.The hotel facilities were excellent, with a lovely selection of toiletries in the ensuite, and everything one could need in the room. If I had to level a criticism, it would be about the fixed head shower - large shower head fixed in the middle of the shower above the occupant. Tends to drown short people like me ...

Lovely rooms and bed and very helpful staff who booked taxi for a wedding attending at Rockingham Castle. Breakfast was excellent with choice and very nice surroundings.Our only problem was on our return the toilet would not flush and had to use the pub toilets in morning. If realised before went out could of got it sorted probably it was a bit late on return. But lovely.

A great choice, nice rooms,friendly staff and great food at sensible prices plus a knowledgeable barman.The breakfast here is excellent considering there are only 5 rooms.We recommend you try the full English, one of the best, using high quality produce, the black pudding here is probably the best I've ever had.Having stayed at The Ritz Hotel, Picadilly, London, I can honestly say that the full English breakfast here is better than the Ritz!!! Small and perfectly formed. This was a last minute booking and we looked at a few of the big named places before booking here. I am so glad we went small and beautiful. It was perfect - good food, great rooms and lovely people. We will be back in September! The attention to detail is awesome x

What a fantastic find , we stayed overnight whilst attending a festival at Rockingham Castle. The rooms were outstanding , clean well furnished and beds super comfortable. We ate lunch in the restaurant which was excellent. The staff were really friendly and helpful and the breakfast was outstanding.Will definitely be returning. We recommend this place highly . We stayed for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding. Can't speak highly enough of the standard of service or facilities. We had dinner on the first night and found the meal very enjoyable and extremely reasonable. The rooms are comfortable, clean and well equipped. The only thing I would look to improve is the shower, although as we stayed during one of the hottest weekends of the year I suspect demandfor water would have been high.

Stayed 2 nights. Room was quiet, lovely and clean with everything you need.The only reason I've given 4 stars instead of 5 is because the shower was a hand held thingy over the bath, which was pretty poor....and the room was exceptionally hot, and it had a thick winter feather quilt on the bed. We didn't get much sleep as a result. The restaurant stood out for us though - amazing full English breakfast each day, and really good evening meal - compliments to the chef!

We recently stayed with you in two chalets. We found the staff very friendly the accommodation well appointed and comfortable. Our evening meal was excellent as was the breakfast all served in a nice restaurant area.

We had 3 nights while we were fishing locally as a group, rooms were excellent and we ate in pub every night. Service was nice and food good. Great hospitality from staff too.

We were given a very warm welcome and the rooms were ready as expected and to a very high standard ( except the flush was a bit temperamental in No 1)The food was very good too with very friendly helpful staff throughout. It topped off a really good day with a relaxing first class stay.

I have stayed three or four times and always enjoy good food and clean accommodation. Staff are always friendly as are the locals !Only down side is they have stopped accepting American Express which is my company card .maybe if this is because of the fee they charge you could add the charge to the bill . At least this gives choice.

I was pleasantly suprised when Staying at the White Horse inn. Having booked the wrong day in error, Daniel was great at re booking me in the next night with no Charges. The room was clean and very comfortable and The Evening Meal was very good. As a hotelier myself the Management and Staff should be congratulated on doing a great job! Ill definately return.

We were warmly greeted at the pub, and given the key to our room swiftly. The room was spotlessly clean, very comfortable, and had all amenities required for a weekend break. The evening meal in the pub was fantastic and reasonably priced. The barman deserves particular credit, extremely professional and welcoming.Would definitely stay again if visiting the area in future

We stayed over at the White Horse Inn in December after a Christmas Party night in the bar and restaurant. I've both eaten and drank at the White Horse for many years but this is the first time I have stayed in one of the cottage rooms.Booking was simple through the establishment's website booking system and check in was swift and relaxed even on a busy Christmas party night.The rooms are a series of small cottage type accommodation annexed to the rear entrance and near to the car park and ours was very quaint with beautiful decor and comfortable fixtures. There was a good selection of hot drinks and some freshly cooked biscuits in the room and there was separate Wifi from the pub.The bed was very comfortable and the bed linen was good quality as were the towels. The en suite bathroom was well appointed although I would prefer a 'normal' shower rather than a shower head off the bath.Most importantly and above all for us was that the rooms were impeccably clean.We enjoyed a good breakfast in the morning which was freshly cooked to our order and there was also a good selection of cereals and juices.We wouldn't hesitate to stay over again and we will continue to enjoy the White Horse's food and drink, all of which we thoroughly recommend.

Two nights at The White Horse and it was just lovely. Spotlessly clean room with lovely toiletries in the bathroom.Very tasty food and generous helpings in front of a roaring log fire - very welcome on a cold night. Delicious breakfast and staff very friendly and attentive.

Arrived to a lovely warm and cosy room. Tea tray was well stocked and the home made biscuits were a nice touch. Had a good nights sleep both nights as the bed was very comfortable.The breakfast was lovely and the device very good. Looking forward to staying again.

This Inn was a lovely find and we stayed here whilst attending the Landrover Experience.We also investigated the area and went to Rutland Water. We were travelling with our 4 friends and allof us really enjoyed being at the White Horse Inn. Lovely surroundings. Both of our rooms had very good facilities and many extras were in the room to help with your stay.The hospitality tray was very full and attention to detail was very evident.All of the staff were very helpful and friendly.We had dinner both nights at the Inn and the food was superb.The breakfast table with fruit and cereal etc was lovely and then we selected what we wanted for the cooked part of the breakfast which was freshly cooked.Well done White Horse Inn a lovely two days.

Absolutely one of the best inn/hotels,I have ever had the pleasure of staying in. A little gem in the countryside The rooms were of an exceptionally high standard, and attention to detail, with lots of little extras supplied , from bedtime reading , to extra toothbrush /toothpaste, and even disposable razor and shaving cream should the weary business traveller should forget them.The evening meal taken in the bar was very tasty with a very good selection on the menu or you can eat in the comfortable restaurant. breakfast was included and again a great selection certainly better than what you would expect , and was more in keeping with a 5 star hotels.The staff were very helpful and friendly and I would recommend this establishment in a heartbeat!!!!👌

A party of 6 adults who have been meeting at different locations over 50 years.The White Horse at Stoke Albany we rate as the best for value, food and comfort.The friendliness of staff was exceptional.We visited East Carlton park and Foxton Locks.Well worth a visit if you are interested in industrial and canal histories.

I have given the white horse in 5 stars because there is nothing major i can fault about the place. The service and staff were all friendly,quick and efficient. The room was spotless very cosy and they have really gone tge extra mile with supplying products. The only downfall i have with the room is the shower as it was quite old but it fitted its surrounds. I didnt mark it down as loosing a star as it worked and i still able to have a shower. Its lovely and quiet. the room is a generous size. I had breakfast included in my stay and it was lovely compliments to the chef and the service. I would definitely stay here again. Lovely place.

A very pleasant stay Bedroom comfortable.Nice little extras like homemade biscuits in the room. Breakfast cooked to order which is always a plus.Ate both nightsat the inn and we both had excellent meals.Would certainly stay again.

rooms clean and tidy all staff welcome you

We stayed as a party of one couple and two singles for two nights in order to attend a wedding. We could not have been more comfortable, better fed nor looked after with more care. Nothing was too much trouble and the breakfasts were truly exceptional.

We had an all to short stay at the White Horse Inn. We were delighted with everything provided. Food was great, Staff very friendly and professional, ambiancefirst class. The high rating given by previous visitors is fully justified.

we thought the inn was very nice and the rooms great and the staff very nice and helpful.the downside is after dinner we were both very sick in the night

The Neville Arms being fully booked, they recommended the White Horse. As this was our first visit we were greeted as good friends by both establishments the bed was comfortable and the breakfast fabulous too much for two nearly 85years Young! I would like to thank you again fo promising to post the pillow back to us, which we carelessly left in bedroom 5.

Firstly, many thanks for your assistance when it was needed.The food and the service from the restaurant was excellent.We felt our room was tired and that the matresses needed to be replaced.Anyone who has difficulty with walking and needs walking aids would find this establishment difficult.There are steps everywhere, some quite steep.Large carpark, good outside area, lovely views.

Can't praise highly enough. Lovely room well decorated spotlessly clean. Nice little extras chefs handmade biscuits, take away cups so could take a drink away with us etc only slight thing it was being picky was lack of shower wash although shampoo and conditioner supplied. Had a meal was delicious. Would recommend and would Definitely stay again.

My wife and I stayed at the White Horse on a Saturday night whilst we visited friends in a local village. The room was clean and well appointed. The breakfast was tasty it ha good choice. What we particularly liked was that the service provided by the hotel manager was above and beyond. Thank you.

The White Horse works as both a restaurant and a pub, as a meeting place for locals and travellers alike. There is a big selection of food in the restaurant and it's well cooked and well presented.The rooms are decorated to a high standard and are very well equipped.We wouldn't hesitate to recommend the White Horse and are looking forward to a return visit sometime soon.

Arrived a little early for check in but was greeted by friendly staff so we had some drinks in the bar while we waited,after about 10 minutes our rooms where ready. The room was well decorated and very clean could not fault it would definitely recommend staying here to anyone.

Well appointed guest rooms with private access. Very clean, comfortable, spacious room. Well stocked welcome tray. Clean and modern en suite bathroom with bath and shower and lovely fluffy towels,with a plentiful supply of products. Excellent nights sleep with freshly prepared breakfast next morning. Plenty of choice of quality breakfast items.Well cooked and well presented. Highly recommended. This was our second visit buy won't be our last.

It’s the little things that set the White horse apart from the standard hotel, bottled water and home made biscuits in the room, soaps, cotton wool, cotton buds and flannels in the bathroom. Very clean and well appointed rooms.There is a wide variety of good food on the menu with the option of eating in the bar or sitting in the very pleasant restaurant. The bar has a good selection of beers and wine and the staff are helpful and friendly.Well done White horse, looking forward to my next stay.

Room extremely well equipped. Unfortunately room radiator was not working after several reports - towel rail saved the day. Food and service excellent.

A very welcoming place. We stayed one night and ate in the bar although we could have eaten in the delightful restaurant (same menu). A very good meal with excellent service. The room was spacious, very well prepared and with some nice touches - a selection of teas, cotton buds and pads in the bathroom. The whole ambience felt very relaxing and it was clear that the owners have taken a lot of care in developing this. We would go back without hesitation.

4 of us stayed for 2 nights while walking in the area. We were delighted with the service , the rooms and in particular the excellent food.The staff were all very helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.Would recommend wholeheartedly.

We spent one night in Room 1 last Friday evening.The accommodation is in an adjacent stable type single storey block, attached to the pub.We were concerned that there would be noise at closing time, as the rooms are adjacent to the car park, but we did not hear anything and all was peaceful.The room was tastefully decorated with a very comfortable bed and pleasant spacious bathroom.The shower was over the bath but decent.Nice toiletries were provided with good size towels.There were tea and coffee facilities in the room plus bottles of still and sparkling water.We had dinner in the pub's restaurant which was nicely decorated - a mixed seafood/smoked salmon starter platter to share, then fish and chips and a duck noodle dish for mains.The food was nice if not amazing.Breakfast which was available in the same restaurant area, was a little disappointing. There was a nice cold selection of juices, fruit, cereals etc to help ourselves from, and we ordered full English and a vegetarian English from the nice breakfast menu.These plates looked lovely when they came, but were a little let down by the cooking.The meat sausage was well done on the outside which would have been fine, but it was also really dried out on the inside, as if it had been under a heat lamp for 3 days.The scrambled egg was also an odd powdery texture, and the tomatoes were underdone - we like them to be cooked through and soft.So a bit of a let down although nicely presented.Tasty black pudding though.Overall a nice stay and we enjoyed our short visit. WiFi is available in the rooms and in the pub.If you're a visitor to the area, we would also recommend a visit to the nearby Foxton Locks, which we enjoyed a walk around in the warm sunshine next morning.

Booked in as we could not find a space in our usual places...very glad we did!Excellent environment for the tired traveller, and will be back.Tiny gripe, could not get on to the WiFi in the room for love nor money!

Great facilities, spotless. Staff very helpful. Would definitely reccommend. Only criticism was the wifi in the rooms. The password given for it didnt work so make sure this works if you need access to internet. Other than that, great place to stay.

Enjoyed our stay. Your staff are very friendly and helpful. The rooms and facilities very comfortable with all needs available. The dining room is a great facilities, pleasantly decorated with good food and selections. Would recommend.One disappointing aspect is the dining room not open on on Sunday night of which we had not been advised. Thus when returning and settling down for a drink we had to go out again for dinner.
